8. Content you create, and how local storage works

The Resume Builder, the QR Generator and Pixplique Lite run entirely in your browser. The content you enter into them — your resume, a pasted job description, a photo you upload, the text behind a QR code — is processed on your device and is not sent to, or stored on, zBilt servers. We cannot read it, recover it for you, or transfer it to another device.

To let you close the tab and come back to your work, the Resume Builder saves your draft in your browser’s local storage. Local storage is a small area of your own browser’s disk space, tied to this website and to this browser profile. What that means in practice:

• Your draft stays on the device and in the browser you created it in. It does not follow you to another computer, another browser, or a private window.
• Clearing your browsing data, using “clear site data”, or browsing in a private window will remove it. There is no copy for us to restore.
• Anyone with access to your browser profile can open it. On a shared computer, use the delete option in the builder when you are finished.
• Local storage is limited in size. If your browser reports that it is full, the builder tells you and asks you to export a backup.

You stay in control of this data: the Resume Builder can export your resume as a JSON backup file, import one back, and delete everything it has stored in your browser. None of those actions involve our servers.
